Boarder Cross

The Boarder X is sure to challenge racer's skills, endurance, and speed around a demanding course. Course racers must maintain high speeds over long distances, upwind and downwind legs, while fending off other competitors. SPI Kite Round-Up will have a pre-race meeting to layout the designated course to the competitors, as well as go over the standard racing rules that will be in effect. We will use the same rules as made official by the ISAF.

As if close quarters course racing isn't challenging and fun enough, the SPI Kite Round-Up crew is pulling out all the stops for these races. Among the course set up with floating markers to distinguish the course map, there will be additional boarder cross style inflatable barriers that must be cleared. We plan to run a series of qualifying heats, followed by an extra challenging boarder-X course racing final.

As in the other competitions, the event prize will be given to the winner of the Amateur Open division. There are also available divisions of Women's, and Men's Masters if there are ten people pre-registered prior to the event. The prize of those divisions will include trophies as of now.
