FREE trainer kite sessions will be held for kids and adults. The clinics will be held at various beach locations throughout the South Padre Island Kite board event. These trainer kite clinics are for everyone! To be a part of these clinics you do not need to be a paid participant. Just show up at the right time and place to be sure to get a head start on the sport of kite boarding. These free lessons are equivalent to hundreds of dollars worth of lessons. You will obtain instruction from the certified professionals and be able to advance your skills drastically. The exact times and location will be specified on the schedule, so stay tuned!

The SPI Kite Round-Up is pleased to offer all event participants a variety of instructional clinics ranging in topics for novices through advanced riders. One company will host trainer kite clinics within the event area, as well as a range of more advanced lessons such as jumping, transitioning, and more! With your participation registration fee you will have access to 9 days of clinics to help you advance your riding ability on the water. This can prove to be a great learning experience and will give you the chance to kiteboard like you have always wanted to. Free clinics taught by industry professionals in combination with gear demos and the warm/ flat/ shallow waters of South Padre Island will guarantee that you learn more in 9 days than you have all winter!

Best Kiteboarding is hosting a unhooked kiteboarding clinic during the 2010 South Padre Island Kite Round-Up. Sam Medysky, a professional kiteboarder for Best Kiteboarding will be putting on the clinics throughout the week.

Litewave Dave Board Repair Clinic

Litewave will be hosting a board construction and board repair clinic. The purpose of the clinic is to show how to correctly put together a kite board. Also, to ensure the long life of your kiteboard and how to repair it when damage is incurred. An important clinic for all kiteboarders looking to extend the life of their kite surfing vehicles.

Ever wanted to learn how to ride in the surf with no straps like the professionals do. Wainman Hawaii will have one of their pros host a kite surfing clinic on how to kite surf strapless. This clinic will help you in taking that next step to advance your skills to the strapless level. Ozone Kite Skim Clinic with Patrick Nedele

Kite Skimboard on South Padre North Flats

No straps, No fins? Kiteboarding with a skimboard is a fun way to break the mold and acquire a unique feeling in the sport. When it comes to kite skim boarding, there can be many uses. Whether you are looking to ride upwind in super light wind, ride some small waves that you couldn't normally ride with a larger surfboard, or low level technical maneuvers on flat water, everyone should own a kite skimboard. Patrick Nedele of Ozone Kites is coming to the 2010 Round-Up to provide some useful insights into the realm of kite skimboarding.

Trainer Kite Clinics

We will be providing Trainer Kite Clinics at the 2010 SPI Kite round-Up. Every day from 12-4pm there will be trainer kite clinics in the "Trainer Kite Zone". This is a great opportunity for family and friends to be exposed to the basics of kitesurfing.

Kris Kinn will be hosting a competition riding clinic during the event. She will be offering helpful advice in how to successfully compete during kiteboarding contests. Kris Kinn is a professional kitesurfer and placed 2nd place overall in the KWPT in 2009.
